•The official opening of David Duchovny's play "The Break of Noon" was tonight. Critics, celebrities, and families of the stars were all on hand to find out just what happened at the break of noon that fateful day of John Smith's life.
Some reviewers hated it, some loved it. Some people see the good in John Smith, some see the bad, and others are just perplexed. As Neil LaBute said, everyone approaches the play with different religious backgrounds, so everyone views it a bit differently.
One person who is certain to have an opinion is Gillian Anderson. It seems she was one of the few who packed into the small Lucille Lortel Theatre this evening. Perhaps in town for some XF business? Who knows. Let's just say we want to believe...

Update: According to Showbiz 411, Gillian had told David that she was coming, but he still looked surprised to see her. When the author of the article caught up to Gillian, she "told [him] she got a good laugh" when she heard one of the many "truth" lines in the play. Check out the article for more.
